In March 2018 Greystar submitted a planning application for a 157m tall tower consisting of student accommodation and a permanent home for the Migration Museum. Following extensive consultation with residents and LB Southwark the proposals have been amended to reduce the height of the tower.
The amended scheme will still include student housing, with the ground floor uses including social enterprise and affordable workspace.
Following the changes to the scheme we will be hosting a public exhibition over the coming weeks, where we will be able to show the amended scheme in more detail. Local residents and stakeholder groups will receive their invitation shortly.
Greystar has been working with CIT, Sellar and Columbia Threadneedle to create a cohesive framework for the St Thomas Street East area. As part of the on-going consultation for the framework, Greystar, and representatives from the three other sites, hosted two public consultation events on 29th September and 1st October. The boards that Greystar exhibited can be found below.
If you have any questions or concerns about the amended proposals, please let us know either by emailing email@example.com or by calling 020 3900 3676.
